BankNet User ID and Password


What can I do if I forgot my User ID and/or Password?
In the case you forget the password.

  • You can visit https://login.banknetpower.net,
  • Choose the Forget Password Function.
  • Enter the User ID. If accepted as correct then:
  • You will be asked to answer 2 secret questions. You have 5 tries to answer the correct secret questions. If you exceed that number of tries, you will be taken to a screen which will ask you to fill in details as in your BankNet profile. If you fail to enter your details as in your profile, you would need to send an original signed letter to BankNet processing unit, P. O. Box 2923, Dubai, UAE. The letter should be signed and it should include your name, Account Number and BankNet User ID.

Whether you succeed to file the application online, or you send a signed request to the bank, upon approval, the bank will send you an e-mail with a link. Click on the link in the external e-mail sent and enter your User ID and them temporarily password you have specified. You will be able to reset your secret questions and their corresponding answers. You will also be requested to set a new password. The new answers to the selected secret questions after resetting will serve as passwords and will ensure security in the access to certain secure functions of our Internet Banking service.

How do I change my password within BankNet?
To change your password online:

  • Log in to BankNet https://login.banknetpower.net
  • Choose 'Home" from the left menu
  • Choose "Change Password" from the top menu.
  • Type the old password
  • Type the new password
  • To confirm, re-enter the new password
  • Press on the "Submit"
  • A confirmation message will be displayed indicating that your password has been changed.

What are the secret the questions used for?
The secret questions are used as an extra security feature that backs up the password. You need to remember the three questions you select and the corresponding answers you set.

The Secret questions have got several functions:

  • To access PROFILE when inside BankNet
  • To change personal details
  • To request to add new accounts and credit cards.
  • To maintain the accessibility of services and account and user limits.
  • To set beneficiaries.
  • To use the Forgot password option.

You can use anything for answering the selected secret questions. There is no special format in setting the answers e.g. the Preferred date can be entered as January rather than 01/01/2001.

How do I change my secret questions within BankNet?
To change your secret questions and corresponding answers online:

  • Log in to BankNet https://login.banknetpower.net
  • Choose 'Home" from the left menu
  • Choose "Secret Questions" from the top menu
  • Choose "Change Secret Questions" from the sub-menu menu
  • You will be asked to answer correctly two of the secret questions
  • Press the "Next" button
  • You will be asked to select new secret questions and enter their corresponding answers
  • Press on the "Submit"
  • A confirmation message will displayed indicating that your answers to the secret questions have been reset.

What do I do if I forgot my answers to the secret questions?
a. If you forgot your answers to secret questions while being logged on to BankNet, you need to submit an online request to reset your secret questions:

  • Choose 'Home" from the left menu
  • Choose "Secret Questions" from the top menu
  • Choose "Forgot Answers to Secret Questions" from the sub-menu
  • You will be asked to enter a temporary password twice for confirmation. You should use this password to access the link that will be sent to your external e-mail to reset new answers to your secret questions.
  • Press "Next" to display the request in a printable format
  • Press on the "Apply" button, an external e-mail will be sent automatically to your defined e-mail address in the bank records
  • Click on the link in the external e-mail and enter your user ID and the temporarily password you have specified. You will be able to select three new secret questions, enter their corresponding answers, and change the password as well

b. If you forgot your answers to secret questions while being in BankNet secured site but not logged in to the service, you need to submit an online request to reset your secret questions. In the online application you should enter the following correct information:

  • User ID
  • Account Number
  • Bank
  • E-mail Address. (The e-mail address entered should match the one initially selected by the user)
  • A temporary password. You should use this password to access the link that will be sent to your external e-mail to reset new answers to your secret questions.

After submitting the application, an external e-mail will be sent automatically to your defined e-mail address in the bank records. This e-mail will consist of a link which will be accessible by entering your user ID and the temporarily password you have specified. You will be able to select three new secret questions, enter their corresponding answers, and change the password as well.

Otherwise, you can mail an original signed request letter to "BankNet processing unit, P. O. Box 2923, Dubai, UAE". This letter should specify that you have forgotten the answers to your secret questions and you request to set new ones. The letter should include your Name, Account Number, User ID, and your Contact Number. You are requested to mention in the subject "Change of Secret Questions". The signature should always be the same as you have provided in your account opening and BankNet application forms. The Bank will then send you e-mail on your specified e-mail address. The e-mail will contain a link that you will need to access in order to set the secret questions. The steps taken are:

  • Click on the Link provided in the e-mail
  • Enter the User ID where required
  • You will then be asked to answer a privilege key (A one time temporary password chosen by or given to you by our processing unit)
  • Select three secret questions and set their corresponding answers
  • Set new Password
  • Then you should be able to log in with the new details

How should I set my Password?
The password lets you access your Internet Banking service. It is always important to remember the password. Things to remember about your password:

  • The password is case sensitive
  • The password cannot be less than 8 and more than 14 characters
  • The password cannot be same as the user ID
  • It is always preferable to use an alphanumeric password
  • Do not share your password with anyone
  • Choose a password that you can only know and no one can guess
  • Please note: If you have forgotten the password, the Bank will not be able to give you the same password. The bank keeps no record of customer passwords.

What should I do if my BankNet access is blocked?
You will be taken to a screen which will ask you to fill in details as in your BankNet profile. If you cannot enter your details as in your profile, you would need to send an original signed letter to meBANK processing unit, P. O. Box 2923, Dubai, UAE. The letter should mention your Account Number, BankNet User ID and signature and that you have forgotten your secret questions.

Upon approval, the bank will send you an e-mail with a link. Click on the link in the external e-mail sent and enter your user ID and the temporarily password provided by the bank. You will be able to reset your secret questions and their corresponding answers. You will also be requested to set a new password. The new answers to the selected secret questions after resetting will serve as passwords and will ensure security in the access to certain secure functions of our Internet Banking service.
