Recent news articles have reported a new scam which is targeting online banking customers in some parts of the world. The reports mention the use of a browser add-on application that can be used to steal user’s login ID and Password information.

None of our online banking customers have reported any such problems so far. However, exercising caution is always required while banking online either with Emirates Bank or any other financial company.
Here are some steps you might do to prevent to some extent anyone else steel your personal information:
- Keep changing your password and/or secret answers frequently.
- Always try and use an alphanumeric password.
- Choose a password which is easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.
- Do not set your user ID as your password.
- Do not share your password with anyone.
- Always use a different password for your Internet Banking facility just to keep your access as safe as possible from intruders.
- Keep monitoring your account and login status frequently.
