Please read this e-mail carefully

It was brought to our attention that some of the Emirates Bank Group customers have again received email messages purportedly requesting them to reactivate their account information, in view of the latest security update. This is done with the intention to illegally obtain customers' passwords and other confidential information.

The Emirates Bank Group would like to clarify that such e-mail messages are not issued by the Bank and would like to advise all customers NOT to login to any of the website links contained in the e-mail.

If any customer had clicked on the link in the e-mail, they are advised to change their password IMMEDIATELY by directly logging in through www.emiratesbank.ae or www.me.ae.

Emirates Bank Group would like to advise all customers that they should not reveal or disclose their password to anyone at any time online or on the telephone.

IMPORTANT: Emirates Bank Group will never ask its customer to reactivate their online banking access via e-mail without prior notice … Such e-mails will be received only when a customer ask for them. For example, when any customer uses "Forgot Password" or "Forgot the Secret Answers" options from the banks login page.

In order to avert any future attempts at fraudulently obtaining confidential information, please ensure you adhere to the following steps:-

Alert the Bank by calling 04-3160316 immediately if you receive an e-mail, letter, notification or a telephone call requesting for information relating to you PIN/Access ID, Username/Password or any other security validations (Secret Questions)

Do not provide your banking particulars, such as User ID, password, bank account numbers, credit card or account details by email.

For secured Internet Banking access, always enter the URL address www.emiratesbank.ae or www.me.ae directly on your web browser.

Do not click on any link received in an e-mail from any party telling you that you need to reactivate your account.

Ensure that you are logging on to the BankNet website by clicking on the lock on the status bar of your browser.
