Internet Banking Security Statement

Due to the open nature of the internet, Emirates Bank cannot guarantee the complete security of your transactions from hacking, unauthorized access, virus attacks, and /or other 3rd party attempts to breach our latest security features that we have used.

You can, and are required to, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions for using the internet banking service, protect yourself against some of the security risks by ensuring that you do not disclose your password to any third party.  Please note that Emirates Bank will never ask for such information.

We have used the highest standards of technologies to ensure that your transactions are secure, including but not limited to the use of firewalls, 128-bit encryption and other means of authentication to keep all communication private and confidential.  Hence the Bank will not be liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential losses that you may incur on the event unauthorized transactions were effected on your accounts, even if you have complied with our Terms and Conditions, and /or followed our security tips.  Furthermore the Bank is also not responsible for any damage resulting from destructive features (e.g. viruses) which may adversely impact your hardware, software or equipment.

If you suspect any unauthorized transactions on your account, please contact us on 04-3160316 as soon as possible to enable us to protect your account by suspending your internet access.  If you fail to do so, you may be rendered liable for these transactions which you may not otherwise be liable for.  

In the event of prevalence of other unexpected risks, beyond the Bank’s control, that would result from the internet, such as communication or power failures, equipment breakdown or defects, there may be a delay or inaccurate transmission of transactions/ requests conducted through the internet.  The Bank will not be responsible for losses you may incur due to such delays– unless the Bank is proven to be negligent in this aspect.
