H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Emirates NBD, received today Mr. Low Pit Chen, Charge D’affaires and Head of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Singapore. The visit comes in line with Emirates NBD’s efforts to expand its operations in the South East Asia Region; especially that it already has a representative office in the Republic of Singapore. The office will soon be converted to a full-fledged branch that serves its customers in that region. Also present at the meeting was Mr. Sulaiman Al Mazroui, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Communications at Emirates NBD.

H.E. Ahmed Al Tayer, provided Mr. Low Pit Chen with an overview of the latest developments in the banking and finance industry in light of the rapid development of the local and regional economy. He also highlighted Emirates NBD’s expansion plans for the South East Asia Region and Said:” Emirates NBD is the ambassador of the local and regional banking and finance industry to the international markets. Our presence in Singapore is part of our strategic expansion plans across promising international markets.”

The Singaporean Diplomat also took a glimpse of the UAE culture and heritage through a tour of the Emirates NBD Pearl Museum.
