Dubai, 21 May, 2008

Emirates NBD Pearl Museum received, for the second year in a row, a delegation from the Diplomatic Ladies Association, headed by the spouse of the General Consul of Egypt, along with spouses of general consuls from various other countries in the Middle East and Africa.

The fifteen members of the association were welcomed by Mr. Suleiman Al Mazroui, General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Emirates NBD who stressed on the importance of preserving the UAE culture and heritage and the importance of this museum in this regard.

"Emirates NBD strives to preserve the heritage of the UAE through promoting our Pearl Museum which plays an important role in educating visitors about the culture and heritage of the UAE and what life was like before the discovery of oil," said Al Mazroui.

The visitors expressed their appreciation for getting the chance to take a glimpse at the largest collection of pearls in the region. The Emirates NBD Pearl Museum is a unique landmark which aims at preserving one of the most important Heritages of the Gulf, Pearling. The collection is preserved in an elegantly designed museum under the custody of Emirates NBD and located at the Emirates NBD Headquarters building in Dubai.
